"Thanks to my Big Brother, I'll be heading to the college in the fall."

Little Moments add up to Big Magic

A Big Brother or Big Sister is a reliable adult of good character who commits to a child from an “at-risk” environment for a minimum of one (1) year.  The programs are designed to improve academic performance, social & emotional growth and self-esteem in children. Community volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. Children who might benefit most from having a mentor are those, who may be impacted by poverty, single parent households, unemployment, disability and/or experiencing a myriad of other social, emotional and psychological constraints which make healthy, pro-social development difficult and challenging.

Volunteers can participate in either our benchmark Community Based Program or our School Based Program.  There are also opportunities for high school students to participate in our programs and begin to learn early the value of giving back through our High School Bigs Program.
